Application and function

Schlüter-DITRA is a polypropylene sheet with Easycut cutting grid and square cut-out cavities with Easyfil design on the back with geotextile.

Schlüter-DITRA in conjunction with ceramic coatings is used as a waterproofing layer, a vapor pressure compensation layer in case of moisture coming from the base and a decoupling layer for problematic substrates.

The support must be flat and resistant. To glue the DITRA blade, use a specific adhesive cement on the base with a notched trowel (recommendation 3 x 3 mm or 4 x 4 mm). The DITRA sheet is glued to the entire surface of the geotextile on the lower side, which is mechanically fixed to the glue. The open time of the glue must be observed.

The ceramic coating is applied
directly onto the DITRA by the thin layer method in accordance with applicable regulations, with the adhesive cement fixed to the square cavities cut out in the DITRA membrane.
